The Price Lists option is useful when you want to apply discounts to specific products in your store for a limited period because it quickly lets you change the products' prices in a single page. Therefore, there is no need to edit every single product or to create discount rules. You will be able to set the time limit in which the products are discounted.
Products with 'Configurable Options' can't be added to Price Lists.
Create a new price list
Go to the Marketing section, Price Lists option from the main menu and click on Create Price List.
Step 1: Enter a name for the list so that you can identify it with ease.
Step 2: In the Enabled field, determine if the discounts will apply once you save the list (yes) or if you’ll enable the discounts later (no), or if you want to apply the discounts in a specific period (between).\
Step 3: Set the Conditions that need to be met so that the discount becomes applicable, following these steps:
- Set if “all” conditions are met, or “any” of the conditions that you are about to add.
- Choose the condition, which can refer to: customer (customer groups) or other (sales channel or product feed).
- Choose a variable between: equals to, greater than or equal to, less than or equal to, greater than, lesser than, not equals, in, not in the list.
- Check or enter the time limit for the condition.
Step 4: Choose if you apply the conditions above for selected SKU’s or SKU’s and their variants. If you choose the Selected SKU’s, you need to enter the product’s code for which you want to apply the conditions.
In case you select the SKU’s and their variants option, you need to enter the group’s code for which you want the conditions to apply.
If the conditions apply for Selected SKU’s, the customer needs to have the product’s code in the shopping cart to fulfil the conditions set.
If the conditions apply for SKU’s and their variants, the customer needs to have in the shopping cart the product’s variants to fulfil the conditions set. (For example, if you set a condition with a limit for 6 units, the customer will add into the shopping cart 3 size S units, 1 size XL unit and 2 size M units).
After you save the rule, you will not be able to change the option for which it applies.
Whether you set conditions for Selected SKU’s or SKU’s and their variants, you will be able to add products to the price list through Import.
For the import, you need a TSV file format (text file with values separated by TAB) or XLS (Excel file) with the products you want to add to a Price List. The file needs to contain the Products’ Code that you want to add to the list. In case you don’t want to make other changes, you can add into the file both the Discounted Price of the product and their Stock (by adding stock from the file. This way, you are limiting the discount for the respective quantity).
This file will contain only the existing products from your store; you cannot add new products this way.
Step 5: In the Options tab, select what happens next to the products from the price list after you reach the stock limit. You can set a Minimum Quantity, a Usage Limit after which the discounts will become inactive, the Priority of these discounts compared to other discount rules in the store. You can also set a Last rule based on priorities.
Note: The default quantity for this price list is 1. You will have to change it with the quantity desired in the shopping cart so that the price lists apply.
You can add rules like: if you purchase 4 bookmarks, they will cost 12 lei, but if you buy 8 bookmarks, they will cost 18 lei.
Step 6: Do not forget to save the changes made; click on the Save button from the top-right screen.
For discount campaigns like Black Friday, Martisor, Easter, etc., you can create this rule to set various product discounts.
ATTENTION! Don’t forget to add the products you created the Price Lists rule for the corresponding landing page campaign.
